Sunday Worship 6th September

Good Morning!

Today we start services in Church for the fist time in nearly six months. It will be at the usual time of 10.45, but under strict Covi-19 restrictions. This means a limit of 30 people, so unless the numbers are less than that, you will not be able to join in unless you have pre-booked a place. We don’t like this, and it will develop over the coming weeks, but we have to be scrupulously careful.

Evening Update

Well the service took place, under the restrictions, and we were joined by people through Zoom conferencing too. They were able to see us in church and we could see them all on the big screen. Some of the Zoom people spoke and Jan read one of the readings. Pat read a reading in church and Rachel spoke about the Meeting Place. We had prayer, a sermon, and listened to some music and read together a couple of hymns as poems.

Unfortunately the Facebook was not activated and so we did not have Facebook live at the time, and as a consequence we do not have a recording to post here on the website. We are learning more every week.

I will try and post this week’s mailing papers and a copy of the sermon, but we are having problems with the new version of WordPress, which hosts this website, and which is refusing to upload some of our files. If I am successful they will appear below.

We will post more news about future arrangements after the Leadership Team reviews the service on Tuesday this week. Thank you for looking. Sorry to disappoint you.

Best wishes

Ian
