We shared together in a wonderful dedication service for our new hall, though it isn’t quite finished yet! There were cables hanging from the ceiling and the bare concrete floor.
Rev David Grosch-Miller the Moderator of the General Assembly of the United Reformed Church spoke thoughtfully about the role of the Christian in today’s world, and led us in sensitive prayers of dedication.
The choir sang the first song in the new hall, and it sounded great.
The children cut the ribbons to let us in.
We were able to walk through the new lobby into the lower hall and share refreshments there.
The latest estimate is that the building work will be finished by end of June, though we may have to wait a bit more for the concrete floor to dry out to let us lay the carpets and fit the kitchen.
But we’re nearly there!
