At last we are nearly there.
On Sunday 15 May we welcome Rev David Grosch-Miller to dedicate our new hall during the morning service (10.45). David is the national Moderator of the General Assembly of the United Reformed Church, and he is coming with his wife, Carla, who is herself a leading light of the URC in England. We are delighted to welcome them both and look forward to David’s message.
There is a a piece giving more details about David that you can download here.
Introduction to Rev David Grosch-Miller
We will be processing into the new hall during the morning service for the dedication itself, and the refreshments afterwards will be in the lower hall, now all part of one suite of rooms. The children will cut the ribbons and the choir will sing, and David will lead us in our prayers.
The builders now expect to complete everything during June, though we will have some minor works to complete in the following weeks. But we hope to be able to use the hall from July.
We are planning an open event in September, after we are sorted, and after the summer break, when we will be inviting anyone in the Valley who wants to come and see the new hall to do so. Further details nearer the event.
