The congregation has been stunned by the sudden death of its loved organist, Mark Rotchell.  Mark went into hospital last Wednesday, for planned surgery to repair and aortic aneurism.  Though the surgery itself was initially successful, sadly Mark suffered overwhelming complications through the next 48 hours and passed away on Friday.

Alison, his wife, and their three children, Simon, Laura and Sarah, were with him throughout and shared this terrible ordeal with each other.  Our love and prayers go to them.

As well as being the organist, he was also a key volunteer at the Lunch Club, as one of its drivers, and they will miss him badly.  Worrall Male Voice Choir have lost their Chairman and a great contributor to their life.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at Christ Church on Thursday 26th October at 2.30, after an earlier private cremation at Grenoside.
