For years one of our members, Larissa, has been collecting for JMA, and in her last years before going to college she collected over £800. She and we wanted to find a way to continue this astonishing work.
We had a wonderful Harvest service recently with Olubunmi Olayisade (Bunmi), who visited from the Methodist Overseas Division. Bunmi spoke with great insight and compassion in the service, and led us in a consultation afterwards to think through how we could engage with a church-based project somewhere in Africa.
This could be a church school, or clinic, or employment project; we don’t know yet. Bunmi is going to work with us to try and identify a suitable twinning project.
On the World Church page of this website there is a short paper about the proposed project.
We hope soon to be working out which church-related project this could be.
