We were not going to be defeated by the virus, so we had our carol singing outside the church in the evening light, and with lanterns and torches and mulled wine; all brought by the singers.

Simon led the singing, and Dorothy played the klavinova in the new porch, relayed outside.
There was a baby, and children running round, and it was wonderful.
We read out a greeting to church from a former minister, Erica Beglin, and a card from the Town mayor and Council.
On Whatsapp afterwards there was talk of a new custom being created!
Happy Christmas to you, dear reader.
(We are NOT holding the in person service in church on Christmas Morning as a precaution. But we hope it will be on Youtube.)
