The annual concert by the Waldershelf Singers was a great success last week at Christ Church. As well as singing themselves, solos and monologues, there was an appearance by the school choir from Deepcar St John’s Junior School, conducted by Jane Steward, who have now performed at this concert for several years. The church was full for the concert, and they ran out of Our Cow Molly ice-cream at the interval!
The chairman of the choir, John Anstie, remarked on how much better it was to perform in the newly re-ordered choir area within the church. The new staging made it easier to group the singers and the sound was improved by the re-positioning of the choir, compared with the previous year.

And very enjoyable it was too. Many thanks to all at Christchurch, who made it possible.
