In this age of being environmentally conscious, we are sorry that we have been forced to take down the trees between the church graveyard and the car park. They were starting to become dangerous by damaging the retaining wall and impacting on adjacent graves. But, out with the old and in with the new. Once the ground has settled and the stumps rotted down we intend to plant new native trees to replace the “imported” leylandii trees. We hope to use flowering cherry trees and maybe some other fruiting trees that can provide fruit for our lunch club in the future.
