Sunday Worship

Here are the basic details for our normal Sunday services.  Please always check by phone for last minute changes.

10.45  Sunday morning worship.  (including Holy Communion on first Sunday in the month)

This is about an hour long, with around 60-80 people normally present.  There is a space for children and their families with play items and drawing materials, in the church.  Unless it is a special Sunday, the children go to their own session after about 20 minutes.  There can be anything from one to half a dozen children most Sundays.  There is always a choir.  The worship on the first and third Sunday the month is usually led by our own minister, Rev Ian Lucraft.  On other Sundays it is led by Methodist and United Reformed ministers and lay preachers.  Coffee and tea is served in church after the service.

6.00  Evening events

Cafe Church on the first Sunday evening; this is a discussion about a topical or faith-related issue led by our own members sometimes with a visitor.

Film night on the second evening; a feature film that is engaging and thought-provoking.  We are trying to vary the films between sad and happy!

Reflective Meditation on the third Sunday evening; this is a varied and thoughtful worship occasion, with about 10-15 people, led by a minister or by church members, for about an hour in the side chapel in church.
